Terms of Use & Sale
These terms cover your use of this website and any purchase of HOUZY. Using the plugin itself is governed by the Licence Agreement (EULA). Personal data is covered by the Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
Who we are
This site and HOUZY are provided by ACRONA AUDIO, an independent developer operated by a private individual ("we", "us"). Contact: acronaaudio@proton.me · Telegram @acronalife. When you buy a paid licence, the seller of record is Gumroad, Inc. (see section 5). We remain responsible for the software and for support.
Using this website
You may browse the site, download HOUZY and link to it freely. You may not:
- attack, overload or try to break into the site or the services behind it;
- use the site to distribute malware or modified copies of HOUZY;
- pretend to be ACRONA AUDIO or suggest an endorsement that does not exist.
We try to keep the site accurate and available but may change, pause or remove it at any time. Technical descriptions of HOUZY describe typical behaviour, not a guarantee for every system or material.
Intellectual property
The HOUZY name, logo, texts, screenshots, the plugin and the audio-processing methods developed for it belong to ACRONA AUDIO. Using the site gives you no rights to them beyond what the EULA grants. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
The free edition
HOUZY 4.x is free of charge. Downloading and installing it means you accept the EULA. There is no purchase, so sections 5–7 do not apply to it.
Buying HOUZY 5 and later
- Seller. Orders are processed by Gumroad, Inc. as merchant of record. Their terms of sale apply to the payment itself. Prices are shown at checkout and include the VAT or sales tax due in your country.
- What you buy. A licence to use the software under the EULA, not ownership of a copy. The licence is delivered electronically, usually within minutes, by email and in your Gumroad Library.
- Activation. The licence is activated online in the plugin with the licence key from your purchase email. You may use it on up to two computers at the same time. You can release an activation from the plugin (licence window → DEACTIVATE) and use it on another computer.
- Free trial. A 14-day trial with full functionality is available once per computer. Please use it to check that HOUZY works with your system and DAW before you buy.
- Updates. Bug-fix updates within the major version you bought are free. A new major version may be sold separately; your current version keeps working.
- System requirements are listed on the product page: Windows 10 / 11 64-bit, macOS on Apple Silicon or Intel, a VST3 or AU host.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
Our refund promise
You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. Before refunding, we ask you to release the activation in the plugin on every computer (licence window → deactivate), so the licence is no longer in use. Write to acronaaudio@proton.me with your order number.
Statutory right of withdrawal (EU, EEA, UK consumers)
For digital content supplied without a physical medium you normally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract. This right ends once delivery has begun, if you expressly agreed at checkout to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal. In practice our 14-day refund promise above gives you at least the same time.
Faulty software
If HOUZY does not work as described, you have the legal remedies of your country, such as a fix, a replacement or a refund, regardless of the period above and regardless of how the licence was activated. Tell us what happens and we will first try to fix it.
Refunds go back to the original payment method through the seller of record. Once a refund is made, the licence is revoked.
Chargebacks and misuse
If a payment is reversed, found to be fraudulent, or a licence key is shared publicly, we may revoke the licence concerned. Please contact us before starting a chargeback. Most problems are solved faster by email.
Warranty and liability
The free edition is provided "as is", without warranty. For paid licences, the statutory warranty of your country applies. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost projects, lost profits or damaged equipment, and our total liability for a paid licence is limited to the amount you paid for it. Please keep backups of your projects.
These limits do not apply to death or personal injury caused by negligence, to fraud, to intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or to any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.
Links to other sites
The site links to Gumroad, Telegram, Spotify, Yandex Music and others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published here on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase. Changes do not take away rights you already have.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country where ACRONA AUDIO is established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in the courts there. Please write to us first: almost every problem can be solved by email.
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force. These terms are written in English; translations, if any, are for convenience.
