Privacy Policy
HOUZY is an audio plugin. It processes your audio entirely on your computer, and no audio ever leaves your machine. This policy explains the small amount of personal data handled by this website, by the plugin, and by our sales and licensing partners: what it is, why, for how long, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is ACRONA AUDIO, an independent developer operated by a private individual. Contact for every privacy question: acronaaudio@proton.me (Telegram: @acronalife). We have not appointed a data protection officer, because the law does not require one for an operation of this size.
This website
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc., and its traffic passes through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery and HTTPS). When you open a page, their servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not have access to these logs and do not combine them with other data. See the GitHub Privacy Statement and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Downloads
Download buttons fetch files from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com), which receives your IP address in the same way.
Background video
The moving background on the home page is a video file served from this site itself, like the images and scripts. It is not loaded from any third party.
Font
The Sora typeface is served from this site itself, like the images and scripts. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or any other font service.
No analytics, no advertising
The site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no social-media plugins. Links to Telegram, Spotify and Yandex Music are plain links: nothing is sent to those services unless you click one, and then their own privacy policies apply.
When you write to us
If you email us, we process your email address, name and whatever you include in the message, only to answer you. Our mail is provided by Google (Gmail).
The HOUZY plugin
Update check
Up to once every 8 hours the plugin downloads one small public file from this website to see whether a newer version exists. No personal identifiers are sent. As with any web request, the website host can see your IP address. You can turn the check off in the ACRONA AUDIO card inside the plugin.
Licence activation (HOUZY 5 and later)
When you activate HOUZY, start a trial, or when the plugin confirms your licence (at most every 12 hours, and only when online), it contacts our licence server (licence.acronaaudio.shop, run on Cloudflare), which checks the key with Gumroad, and sends:
- your licence key (for a trial, none);
- a device identifier: a one-way hash of your computer's system information, used only to count activations per licence and to give each computer one trial.
The licence file is stored on your computer in your user application-data folder. You can release a computer's activation at any time from the plugin's licence window. The server keeps only the licence key, the device identifiers using it and the trial start time.
Data that stays on your computer
Settings, the licence file, its backup and a small diagnostic log (licence.log, at most 64 KB, without your licence key) are kept locally and are never sent automatically. The REPORT button only copies a summary to your clipboard. You decide whether to send it to us.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Gumroad, Inc. as merchant of record. Gumroad collects what the order needs, such as your name, email address, country, billing address and payment details, under its own privacy policy (Gumroad Privacy Policy). We receive the order details (name, email, country, product, order number) so we can provide licences, support and refunds, and meet accounting duties. We never see your full card details.

| Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | Email (Gmail) | EU / USA |

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some recipients are in the USA or run global networks. Transfers rely on an adequacy decision (such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses offered by these providers.
How long we keep data
- Emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted within 2 years of the last message, unless they relate to an order.
- Order and licence records: while your licence is valid and for as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 5–10 years).
- Your acceptance of the Terms (a flag in your browser): until you clear it.
- Server logs: kept by GitHub and Cloudflare under their own policies; we hold none.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), unless we must keep it by law;
- restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- data portability, receiving your data in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to a data protection authority, in the EU/EEA in your country of residence or work, or in the UK to the ICO.
California and other US states: we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information. You may request to know, correct or delete your information, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
To use any right, write to acronaaudio@proton.me. We answer within one month (sooner where local law requires), free of charge, and may ask you to confirm your identity first. Data held by Gumroad can also be requested from Gumroad directly. We make no decisions about you by purely automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Children
The site and the plugin are not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Licence files are written atomically with a backup copy, licence keys are never included in reports or logs, and access to order data is limited to us. No method of transfer or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures for an operation of this size.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date. For material changes we will also point it out on the home page or in the plugin's update notice.
